Week In Review

In addition to Cheerios and other finger foods, Lucy has started eating Goldfish. If she picks one up I'll open my mouth and say "ah" and move towards her hand. She's been "sharing" Goldfish crackers with me for a few days now.

Lucy is enamored with the door-stopper-springy thing... especially the loud bouncy noise it makes when she tweaks it. When she does it I say "do it again!" She's been repeating me as illustrated here:

Lucy: [Tweaks door spring]
Me: Haha! Do it again!
Lucy: Duwigin! [Tweaks door spring]

Lucy has started singing along with her Fisher Price Little Superstar (see Christmas post for a description of this toy). At this point her singing bears a strong resemblance to Native American war dance songs (Heya Hiya Hoya). One of the songs in the rotation on this toy is "Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes" so we've been teaching her the hand motions. She hasn't figured out the shoulders, knees or toes (eyes, ears, mouth nor nose) but everytime ANY song comes on she touches her head.
